Organization Culture Development
With the dramatic changes in the requirements, expectations of the public and the employees, Organization Culture Development is becoming more and more critical in the Fire Service. Culture development transforms the organization's culture (loosely shared beliefs, values and behavior). The culture defines the personality of the organization - its way of doing things. Culture is the underlying force that defines norms, rituals, traditions and ethics. Culture is the accumulated, shared learning from shared history.
Undertaking a project of Culture Development potentially includes an Internal Organization Strategic Plan, Team Building, Management & Employee Development, Training, Coaching and Process Reengineering. Shifting an organization culture puts focus on leadership, communication, behavior, systems, processes, values and rewards.
It acknowledges the strengths and addresses those areas in which the organization requires attention. It identifies and implements methods to bring out the best in its people and support the organization in reaching optimal effectiveness to serve the community.
